VEU PROGRAM, VICTORIA
Take Advantage of Government Rebate Program for Saving Energy.
The VEU scheme (previously VEET) is a Victorian Government initiative promoted as the Energy Saver Incentive. It commenced on January 1, 2009, and is administered by the Essential Services Commission (ESC). The scheme was established under the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target Act 2007 and is administered in accordance with the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target Regulations 2008.
The VEU scheme is designed to make energy efficiency improvements more affordable, contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gases, and encourage investment, employment, and innovation in industries that supply energy efficient products and services.
Under the scheme, accredited businesses and their representatives can offer discounts and special offers on select energy-efficient lighting products, such as:
The products are installed at homes, businesses, or other non-residential premises. The higher the energy efficiency, the bigger the potential saving.
All energy upgrades are performed in a foolproof and regulated manner.
TIMETOSAVE works in partnership with Glow Green Pty Ltd, which is an Accredited Provider (AP) under the VEU program.
VEU (aka VEET) aims to:
- Make energy upgrades affordable across the nation
- Help nation decrease greenhouse emission
- Generate more employment
- Encourage innovation in energy efficiency tech and service industry
In the last 10 years, the program has generated over 50 million energy efficiency certificates (VEECs).
In simple words, 50 million VEECs are equal to 50 million tonnes of greenhouse gas stopped from entering into the atmosphere.
